Thermal Stability test

The purpose of the Thermal Stability test is define the thermal stability of a lubricant, a Thermo-Gravimetric Analyser (TGA) is used. The lubricant is exposed to the required test temperature and held there for 24 hours. A plot of weight loss vs time is produced.

TGA shows grease lost 12.5% after 72 hours at 150°C in air.

Our thermal stability test method:

-Ramp to test temperature and hold for 24 hours

-Plot weight loss vs. time
